Chief of Staff of the Carnegie Corporation New York
Jeanne D’Onofrio has been with Carnegie Corporation of New York for 24 years, serving presidents David Hamburg and now Vartan Gregorian, and is currently chief of staff, responsible for working with the president on all aspects of management, strategic planning, and oversight.
Ms. D’Onofrio earned her MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a BBA (accountancy) from Baruch College, City University of New York. She is currently a John C. Whitehead junior fellow of the Foreign Policy Association, and has served as president of The Seraphic Society, an organization founded in 1940 which provides a network for assistants to the leaders in industry and social, civic, philanthropic, and other professional organizations.
Prior to joining the Corporation, Ms. D’Onofrio served as executive assistant to the president of the American Museum of Natural History, in New York. Before joining the not-for-profit sector, she was senior underwriter for G. E. Capital Mortgage Insurance Company, in New York, and Investors Mortgage Insurance Company, in Boston.
